We offer you a precious pair of wooden candle-holder angels finely carved in the round, gilded and polychrome, a jewel of the Italian seventeenth century in the purest Baroque style. The winged figures, entirely gilded with the exception of the incarnates, are depicted in a standing position, symmetrical to each other, in the chiastic position between the arms and legs.

As far as the provenance is concerned, these sculptures, presumably originally placed on the sides of an altar in the presbytery area, are placed in the context of the most refined production of Tuscan Baroque, presumably Florentine.

With regard to both the era and the state of conservation, we are faced with collectible items, rare on the market and of great impact, capable of embellishing and making the context in which they will be placed unique.

Sculptures of excellent workmanship and quality, finely sculpted, characterized by a vigorous plasticity of the garments and wings that wrap the figures; Extraordinary for works of this period is the presence of their polychromy and original gilding. We only proceeded to a superficial cleaning of the gold, to bring out its original beauty.
