It is a prestigious parade mirror, of important dimensions and richly sculpted and gilded with leafy volutes, a notable example of the typical decorative repertoire of Louis XIV. Thanks to the particularly sumptuous elements and the thickness of the carving, it fits into the Baroque period of Tuscan cabinetmaking of the late seventeenth century or the very early eighteenth century.
This work of art, virtuosic in the richness of the carving, lends itself to increasing the importance and elegance of a prestigious environment, and is intended for those who want to own a precious object and, for its quality, conservation and extremely rare size. on the market.
The density of the decoration, although not fully perceptible from the photos, is a characteristic element of the evolution of the Baroque style in the second half of the seventeenth century, as an emblem of pomp and power.
From the structural point of view, the carving is made up of daringly interwoven acanthus leaf volutes, emphasized by the exceptional thickness of the frame and the concentration of the carving, while the inner part is decorated with a thick band carved with leaves of d ' Laurel.
